Consolidated Electric reports all outages restored
Mount Gilead , OH – Consolidated Electric Cooperative reports that power was fully restored as of late Thursday evening, February 3. If anyone is still without power, they should call the Cooperative immediately at (800) 421-5863.
Over 6,000 electric members were without power at some point following the ice storm that waged war through Central Ohio this week. An additional 9 crews from Vaughn Industries, New River and cooperatives in Ohio and Kentucky were called in on Tuesday to assist Consolidated crews with restoration.
Crews had 75 percent of the power outages restored by 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Restoration efforts were hampered by adverse road and weather conditions.
“Crews, as well as support personnel, worked long hours during the past week to get power restored to our members,” commented Consolidated President Jerry Lauer. “Our primary goal was to get power back on as quickly and safely as practical,” he concluded.
The Cooperative would like to send out its heartfelt appreciation for the support, patience and positive feedback from its members and the community. The local support made a tremendous impact on restoration efforts.
