Youth Tour to Washington D. C.

Be part of the nearly 1,500 high school students from across the nation for a fun-fi lled week in Washington! Every year Consolidated Electric sponsors two students on a supervised, all-expense-paid trip to Washington, DC. The Electric Cooperative Youth Tour has brought high school students to Washington, DC every June since the late 1950s.

The 2008 Youth Tour is scheduled for June 13-19 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Va. To be eligible, you must be a high school sophomore or junior, who is the son, daughter or legal ward of a current Consolidated Electric member. The competition consists of reviewing a study booklet, completing a short take-home test and participating in an interview. Applications are available in February each year and you may download a request for one here.
