Outages
Severe weather, storms, downed trees, downed power lines, traffic accidents, power supplier problems, animals coming in contact with equipment – that and more can cause a power outage.

Responsive
At Consolidated Electric Cooperative, our line mechanics are always on call – every hour of the day to restore your power when emergencies occur.

If your power goes out

  • First, check to see if the power outage has been caused by a problem in your home or business. Check for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker.
  • Check with your neighbors to see if their power is out too.
  • If so, call us so we can dispatch a service crew to get your power restored.

Outage Hotline (866) 567-2753
To report a power outage, call our toll-free automated Outage Hotline. Our Outage Hotline also offers a free service of a “call back.” We give you a call when power is restored to your area. If your power isn’t back on, you can stay on the line to let us know. We can then dispatch a crew to you when they’re still in your area, speeding up your restoration time!

If an automated call isn’t for you, please feel free to call one of our local offices to your report your power outage. You can reach them by calling any one of these numbers:

(740) 363-2641
(419) 947-3055
(800) 421-5863

In Home Life Support
Members who depend on in-home life support equipment should notify us immediately. We maintain records of all members who use electrically operated life support machines, but we depend on your informing our office of your needs. Because no electric company can guarantee uninterrupted electric service, we strongly recommend also having a back up power source and an emergency plan for extended outages.
